1. Could you tell us something about the background/history of your company?
First, thank you for choosing Frankenberg-Metallrecycling as “Company of the week”. Let me start with a few facts about us: Frankenberg-Metallrecycling is a well-established family business in third generation located in Emskirchen (Bavaria, Germany). We are looking back on more than 65 years of history in the field of scrap metal recycling and currently employ around 25 employees. Over the last couple of years, we have positioned ourselves as a regional embedded scrap metal recycling service provider with international orientation. Especially in the handling of professional zinc, tin and lead recycling.
2. What materials do you trade in and what services do you provide?
Our long-time existence has allowed us to gain priceless experience, which has enabled us to take up a broad market position in our industry. In general, we are dedicated to the handling of all ferrous and non-ferrous recycling activities. Besides, we pay specific focus on the materials zinc, tin and lead. In this field of scrap metal recycling we have a unique selling proposition in Europe as we are one of the leading specialists in processing and trading all grades of zinc, tin and lead metals.
3. What are the advantages of being a family-business? And are there any disadvantages?
We are aware of our own strengths and, therefore, exclusively focus on them. On the one hand, we work fully customer-oriented to meet highest quality demands. Our daily effort is focused on our customers and our key to success lies in the trust we receive. On the other hand, as a well-established family business we are in a financially strong position. So, we are both a reliable as well as a financial strong partner whether you are selling to or buying from us.
4. Do you trade internationally? If yes, could you tell us something more about it?
Yes, we do trade internationally, but it still accounts only for a small proportion of our turnover. We aim to extend our international business affairs and due to successfully implemented measures over the last couple of months, we are now in the starting blocks for expanding our international trade activities. For example, we fully translated our company website into English.
